Just brought the opi gel nail range and I love it .
Pro -
gel nails are its has quality of gel so unlike the new uv nail polish they don't just dry and you can rip them off like a peel mask.
It has a nice gel water shine finish which make the nails look really natural.
Cons-
The color is very sheer so you need to layer a lot on , mainly great for the natural look.
I used the opi gel nails base, the princess rule opi gel . For the french tip I used creative nail designed white uv gel. To seal the nail and the nail art I used creative nail design uv top coat. ( love that stuff)
This is one my my all to,e favorite nail lacquers.
The finish is always smooth and the applicator is nice and thick which allows for a very even applications.
Theyn do sell this online but it's a bit harder to find. A lot of korean jewelry stores usually stock this brand. I brought mine at town hall I'm Sydney.
I love nail art , since ther hasn't been time to visit my art guru to get my gel nails done amd some 3D art. I wanted to at least jazz up my nails.
I brought étude house nail art pen a while backh in pink and white and here is my poka dot nails.
Base I used crayon manicure in pastel pink . I suggest that u don't go crazy and do every name poka dot as it can look too over the top, but that's personal preference.
How the nail art étude house pen rate ?
It's not anything special really, it's easy to used but at 19.95 each it's a bit over priced.
You can get the same product for at least half the price but in saying so , the designed of the pen allows it not to clog up and dry as quick.
I last open it about 3 months ago and the nail polish has not dry and clogged up which I usually find with the normal nail art pens.
I am sure I'm not the only one who loves a good sale!,
I came across some note worthy sales and also some excellent products which should be a must!,
Mascara
I wanted to get a new mascara as I found one which I really love from Rimmel. I normally use the Japanese brand ones but I went and tried the Rimmel's sexy curve and the 1 2 3 look and I have been in love.
Its like the fair drop mascara but it's more accessible to us in Australia.
The sexy cures is the same as the famous fairy drop mascara but at a fraction of the price and u don't have to pay for delivery to Australia. Just pick it up at the store or supermarket.
Theses three are my favorite
In saying so I as templeted to try what Other Rimmel mascara had to offer. Usually such retails for about 10-25AUD
Three for the price of one was amazing !
These are promotion packs which are available at woolworths, priceline and Coles so check it out.
Nail uv gel polish
I am a massive fan of nail art and love to do my own nails every now and then with 3D arts and the works.
It's been so hectic I haven't had the time and I have always wanted to see if gel polish would be faster then just getting gel nails done.
And yes it's faster quicker and effect the same only u save a lot more time.
Generally gel nails are more glossy and it helps reframe your nails from being chipped and the color fast forever. Unless you start trying to Peel it off yourself (please don't do that , you reck your nails)
I had my eye in the opi uv polish for a while and thought I might try another brand before I jump right in to purchasing it.
The application was not different to normal polish , smell was a bit stronger. So open some windows if you are sensitive smells.
Post application I pop my nail under the UV lamp and the gel harden
I was surprised that it harden pretty quickly and was very glossy. (sorry about the photos I just did a very quick trail run , so may nails are not so glam)
I use other colors on top to crate some additional pattern to give my nails something.
All brands are pretty much the same but the better brands such as OPI snd CDN works best ,quality cant beat them.
To use the product you need a UV lamp
... so if your don't have one and u want to try this at home I suggest u go to eBay and just purchase one. If you don't want to spend the money to buy the lamp. Head to your local nail salon and see if they do gel nails. Usually would cost you around $80-150 depending where you go but not all salons offer it.
Word of warning, becareful of the nail salon you pick as its easy to get infections if they are not hygienic.
Daiso a 100 yen chain has arrived on 2011 in Australia, finally !!
Everything is $2.80 AUD , for me as a Sydney-sider i am loving this new store but it also has been a the cause of a lot of crazy shopping.
The Sydney store is much smaller then the VIC store which is a bummer as we are missing out on some other products which is yet to be showcased .. just have to wait until the expansion on level 2 in Chatswood Mandarin center.
They stock everything from Kitchenware, Personal Care, Make up, pets, and home ware. It's the like 2 dollar shop but stuff are actually $2.80 for all and the quality is excellent.
I personally love to go and check out new items and try new stuff from time to time in there.
Here are a few of my favorites and hope it will help you shop when you decide to head to Chatswood. I'll try to review as much as i can and add them on slowly to the blog :)
Cosmetic Products:
The cosmetic which are being sold are of great quality so its worth trying it out .
Great value and really if you don't like it , it was only $2.80 which is less then a bus ticket or a cheeseburger at Macdonald.
My best picks:
1. Eyelashes - they cheap and they are awesome , they rate much better then brands such as Sally Hansen which you might buy for about $20 at Priceline. I generally stock up when i go to Japan and come back with like 100s of pairs as they fit the nice nicely and tend to be more natural and not too fake when you have them on.
This one shown is not the only one they have like 4 different brands at offer and i tried them all and they awesome .
2. Nail Art products - they have heaps of nail art stickers and nails. I tend to like the stickers more as i like gel nails and the false nail stick ons just don't work for me.
They are really pretty and there is some really classy designs.
The false nails are great if you like them.
3. Eye Shadow and blush :
They not bad but you can;t expect quality like Mac and Chanel, but it dose go one smooth its a life saver to buy it and keep it in your car or at the office/lockers in case you have a crisis.
Eye Shadow i tend to like this brown one on the left that they have to offer .
4. Brow pens
They have a great range of eyebrow pens/liners which last very well. I was using the Boddie Brown and Kate Eyebrow set but still the color didn't always suit so i mix it up with the brow pen from Diaso and it been working really great :) more natural
5: Eye Liner -
the eye liner are way better the Maybeline and Covergirl ones. I usually purchase the Japnese branded ones which usually retails around 10-25 USD but this one works really well. Its smooth and just glides one and has a fine tip.
Personal care :
Loving the shoe pad, there is heaps more products like the massive range of hair and skin care and bath salts.
I have pretty much tried all the hair shampoo and they stock the Buya range , Buya is horse oil.
Is not bad worth the try and they also have a charcoal range which helps stop oily hair.
Personal favorites are:
-Bath salt - pretty much all of them
- Charcoal face mask - really gets the dirty out of the pores and stop it clogging
-Buya Shampoo, Conditioner and Body wash
- Aloe Cleaning lotion - or what they note as cosmetic swipe - this is a toner for after you wash your face. This really helps re hydrate your skins.
- Shoes pads

Home and kitchen ware:
The stuff ware way better then Ikea and gotting to home ware shops , its cheap and its durable.
I have dec my place out with a lot of new kitchen ware such as the cutting knifes and new bowls and cups/mugs. They are very durable and all the items are pretty much all microwaveable - remember to read the bottom of the item to check before you try to make it combust .
I am also loving that they have a section dedicated to baking ware. I love to bake and they even have carry boxes for your handmade cakes which you can buy which is awesome. Usually these box cost me 4 dollars now i am only paying $2.8 and its not the traditional white box but a nicely decoration box.
Stationary :
I Love good stationary and they stock heaps of items which i usually use from great writing pens and post its and folder i am kinda of heaven .
Yes i love my stationary :p
I haven't real posted what i brought as there is just soooo much haha.. when you get there you will know what i mean.
General nick nacks :
um.. hard to tell you what there is as there is so much stuff...
you will feel like you're a kid in a candy store only for general stuff and homeware
