Big Pores? How to get rid of them ASAP ?

Why you have big pore?

Pimples and skin blemishes are common and often embarrassing. Skin blemishes are caused by oils, shedding skin cells and occasionally bacteria that become trapped in hair shafts. This material irritates the shaft and causes inflammation and the familiar pimples. Careful skin care can minimize clogged pores and prevent the widespread pimples and inflammation of acne.

Clogged pores are caused by natural oils, or sebum, that lubricate the skin and hair.
Each hair follicle connects to a sebaceous gland, which produces oils. The oils move up along the hair shaft through the skin layers, according to the Mayo Clinic. The hair follicle opens on the skin surface to form pores. Excess sebum combines with dead skin cells and plugs the hair shaft. The plug makes the shaft bulge, causing a comedone, or a whitehead or blackhead. Whiteheads occur when the pore remains closed, whereas blackheads are created when the pore is open to the air. The color of blackheads is caused by melanin, a skin pigment, in the clogged pore. Melanin oxidizes in the air and turns dark. Bacteria may also be found in the clogged pores, causing other types of blemishes such as papules and pustules, which are red and tender bumps.

Type Of Clogged Pores:-

Microcomedones
Basic acne lesions are called microcomedones, which occur when hair follicles become blocked with oil and bacteria starts growing. These lesions are referred to as microcomedones because they are invisible to the naked eye.

Whiteheads
Microcomedones transition into non-inflamed blemishes known as comedones. When oil and bacteria stay trapped below the surface of the skin, they are called closed comedones or whiteheads, which are often invisible but may appear as small white spots. Whiteheads may ultimately release oil and bacteria to the surface of the skin and heal on their own or they may cause the follicle wall to rupture and result in inflammatory acne.

Blackheads

Blackheads are much like whiteheads in that they are the result of oil and bacteria trapped beneath the skin. Blackheads are simply former whiteheads that have reached the open surface, oxidized and turned a brownish black color in the process. Blackheads may last a long time because the oil and bacteria within them drain slowly to the surface of the skin.

Papules and Pustules
If the follicle wall of a blackhead or whitehead ruptures--sometimes due to a person picking at his blemishes but sometimes at random--white blood cells flood in for healing and cause the pore to become inflamed, according to Acne.org. This event marks the formation of a papule. When those white blood cells eventually work up toward the skin’s surface and become visible, they form what is known a pustule, also called a pimple or a zit.

Nodules and Cysts
A very deep blockage of a follicle can cause extreme inflammation and result in the most severe form of acne, lesions known as nodules and cysts, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Nodules and cysts are similar in that they are large and painful, but they differ in that nodules are hard bumps that form deep beneath the surface of the skin and cysts are pus-filled lesions that have the potential to scar, according to the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases.

Over the counter products for Clogged Pores:-
Over the counter preparations containing low dosages of the following medications all work well for mild cases of acne.

  • Benzoyl Peroxide – is very common in many over the counter acne treatments. It works well because it has antiseptic properties that will kill the bacteria causing acne and reduce inflammation of blemishes as well.  However, benzoyl peroxide is not the best ingredient for removing black heads and oil plugs.
  • Glycolic Acid – this can be found in creams and lotions. It is an alpha hydroxyl produced from the sugar cane plant. In addition to topical skin care products, this water soluble fruit acid is used as a chemical peel agent for in office skin treatments. It is effective in unclogging and preventing blocked pores as it removes the excess of dead skin cells from the surface of the skin that extend into the areas of the oil gland openings.
  • Beta Hydroxy Acids – salicylic acid. Like glycolic acid, salicylic acid is used as a chemical peel. The main difference is that salicylic acid is oil soluble and causes superficial desquamation or shedding of cells. This makes it possible for it to penetrate the sebum in the pores to help remove blockages and blackheads.

Tony Moly - Egg silky Smooth Balm - 蛋白毛孔隱形透明底霜

TonyMoly Eggpore Silky Smooth Balm is a concealer that is enriched with protein, effectively to visibly refine pores.

Contains Magnolia bark and bud bean extracts and camellia extracts to assist in reduction of irritations and assist in reducing blocked pores.

The egg shell design defiantly wins you over ,catches your attention to work out , what is inside.

When you open the egg , you will find what seem to be small amount of product , 20g which isn't much. At first look it looks like fluffy wax or whipped butter.
Smells pleasant with a faint smell of lemon.

How is test ??

The product claims to provide you with smoother skin, I can see why.
The texture of the cream is very soft and smooth when placed on the skin, which was very pleasant. Only needed very little of the product to get full coverage of your face ( but thats a chunk from the egg .. its only 20g.. ummm..)

The plus with this product was that you can use it as a base for foundation and seriously will make it smoother and helps hydrate the skin.

Regarding the claim for oil reductions, I really didn't see a massive change, but it did help a bit ,which was a shame as I was looking forward to it really working 100%.

Over a few days of use I can only say it was a good addition to the Beauty routine but can't really see it being the massive change.

The protein enriched formula similar to when u use egg White as a face mask, you can feel like skin tighten. I guess over a long period of use from the range you would weep the benefits.
Best just get the Tonly Moly Silky face mask that works or just crack an eye and use the egg whites as a mask ( love natural home made masks, its cheaps and it works, only cost you an egg .. thats like 20-50 Cents ?? )

Definitely you are not going to see results over night or a few days result but it makes a good difference after a while ( faint difference )

Cost:

I would recommend it as you can see the difference (not massive) but use it before make up, it was great as a base. HOWEVER at around 20usd for 20g, the cost compared to the amount of product you get is usually a factor for most people. Costs vs benefits - not really worth it.

You get a impression from the cute egg design packaging that it's much bigger. Once you open it, there is a disappointed of how little there is . I kinda felt ripped off as i was buying a massive case with nothing much inside .. i purchased a lot of air space.

20g, I was surprised how little of the product you actually needed but considering the pack is so small ... it don't last all that long.

From the Egg Silky Smooth range of Tony Moly ( there is 3 products , search my blog for the others) this was disappointing.

This cute little egg shell design can also use to grow plants! Just crack the top of the egg and it's a small pot for the plants.

TONY MOLY - EGGPORE Tightening Pack Mask (蛋白緊緻毛孔鼻膜)

Tony Moly is a Korean brand of beauty product range. I have heard quite a lot about the brand and thought i will give it a try.

I decided on the Eggpore. The Eggpore is a clay mask which helps remove impurities in the skin to leave it clear and smooth.
As normal i skeptical, there is so much products out which always claim to do provide the best results.

TONY MOLY - EGGPORE Tightening Pack ,clay form mask that is enriched with egg white and Camellias extracts to help tightening pores and deep cleansing. It also contains keratin with whitening effect to provide a clean & smooth skin

The texture of the product was light even through it was clay base. It dry on the skin like a normal clay mask with a more gel like quality.

After the product dry , use a damp warm face cloth and wipe away the product.. lovely ladies please don't get lazy and just rub it off. Your skin takes a beating when u do that and you loosen up the skin which cause premature sagging .

Results?
We it was impressive how smooth my skin felt and clearer.

The product cost around 12 USD which online price is cheap already as i have spotted some sites trying to sell this from 15-30 USD which is a bit excessive.
The amount of product you actually get is not very much so it is a bit over priced online. If you are in asia definitely buy it as its so much cheaper!!

The bonus to this product is the design of the packing.
Its made to become a recycle bale flower pot. You can add seed and start growing stuff which i found really cute. Great as decor , guess that was definitely factored into the price ...

Final Verdict
Overall the product works really well and the egg white definitely help to tighten the skin
but considering the price tag to get it online you can find alternative product , but this was definitely worth the price if you are willing for pay for it .

I have started a whole pot plant collection :p
