Australia's the best keep secert Face of Australia

Face of Australia

I love foundations and is tend to use mainly th Asian brands as it suite my skin tone better.
However , there is an Australian brand of cosmetics which I have loved. It's well priced and it works a treat on the skin.
It's an surprise that it's not as popular as it should be.

The brand is called Face of Australia.
They seem to be growing in popularity but they mainly sell their products online , at Kmart, bigw and Priceline.
The products range from 5-25 AUD which is very well priced as the same product which is branded would likely cost your around 30+

Foundation stick
I personally love the foundation stick. At 11.95AUD its in expensive and the quality matches the more well know brand.
The coverage is excellent and can pretty much double as a skin corrector .
The coverage is so good u really only need a little bit. And you can skip the concealer.

One you have it one your skin turns totally flawless .. Use a press powered to set the make up.
If you are having a horrible skin day  or need to cover up some skin discoloration, just work on small lays over it.. Slowly ,, you don't wanna look like u just out the whole thing on your face like a mask. Wah la ! Flawless skin.

Mine usually last me a long time I don't even go through half of it and I throw it out and get a new one (yes make up should not be kept for more then a few month-I try not to contaminate it with my skin or brushes but it's recommended about 3-6 months you should, replace your make up . I seriously don't ent break outs)

There are other products they have just come out with which I also love .

Skin primer

Generally it can be Pricey to get a good primer at s low budget price.
I tried their primer and it really helped hydrate the skin and allow the make up to glide on.
Totally live the primer in winter. Dry skin sometimes creep up on your from being out in the elements and being indoors under the air conditioning or the heater. This is a great boost to the skin ESP when you didn't have the time to do a face mask.

Shimmer Mineral pearl powder

This bottle of different color pearl balls are awesome.
You might already be using another brand. I love my YSL and skin79 one , but this has the same function.
Basically the different colors all have a function to play in helping to highlight and remove traces of redness and dullness in the skin providing you with translucent skin.

Mineral powder

Great coverage. U can just use it like normal mineral make up
It's half the price of brand like nude by nature.
Work just as well.

When does your make up expire? and how to extend their life

Most preservative systems for make up ensure the shelf life of products as well as keep bacterial contamination at bay once opened. However these is not a set date to when the product will last.
Its depended on many factors I'll go through the products and when it would be best to throw them out.

In general you you would be able to see if a product has expired way beyond its use by date when it starts to separate. This usually happens when the product is way over its used by date , many products should be thrown out before then.

1. Foundations and concealers .

Generally foundations should only be kept for max a year after opening but this is taking into consideration that you have kept the foundation away from contaminates and bacterial.

Tips to extend the life of your foundation:
  • Keep foundation away from damp locations such as the bathroom
  • Keep out of direct sunlight
  • Use a paddle pop stick or something which is clean to take a small amount of foundation out each time and avoid direct contact with you hands or brush.
  • Close the lid to the foundation as quick as you can to minimize contact with air as this changes the product
  • Try to not open too many bottles of foundations, i know its hard when you want to try several products but its going to take you longer to finish them.
2. Eye Make up.

Generally it has a life of about a year if you keep them dry and use clean brushed to apply.
The make up will change if its wet and there is mold and other lovely bacterial which can grow on it that is not visible to the eye.

Tips to extend the life of your eye make up:
  • Keep away from damp locations such as the bathroom
  • Use a clean brush to apply your eye make up.
  • buy smaller pots of eye make up which ensures that it dose not go to waste.
3. Lipsticks and gloss

This is a hard one . Your mouth is filled with bacteria and if your one that loves to lick their lips , you better change you lip stick/gloss every month.

Tips to extend the life of your lip stick /gloss :
    • ensure your lips are clean before application
    • use a clean brush to apply your lip stick and once you are done ,wipe down with a cleansing wipe to save you the trouble of  wiping down when u need it next timev and it keeps the brush clean.
    • Lip Gloss , same applies, ensure you have clean lips when applying
    • Don't be tempted to lick your lips and eat the lip gloss or lip stick off . If you do , when you reapply make sure you wipe your lips.
    4. Eyeliners and mascaras

These are use by your eyes daily and will get oil build up on the applicator. Generally one open the item will last 1-5 month if its not dry up. Best to keep them for only about 3 months max 5 and throw them out.
You can see the tip of the applicator start to get dirty . throw it .
If the eyeliner is hardening up - throw it
Mascara start to smell alcoholic - throw it

In General ~~ Let your common sense prevail

Sana PORE PUTTY BB Pact SPF40 PA -莎娜 PORE PUTTY 毛穴職人防曬蜜粉餅(自然膚色)

This product really mazed me .

    The claim of the products:

BB Pact SPF40 PA+++ one step complete make up base ( well for the rest of us that mean Foundation lol)  It filled pores and any imperfections.
BB pact is applied as a wet foundation cream and provides a powdery finish.boosted by Collagen serum within the product. It is enriched with Moisture hydrolyzed collagen to lock in moisture and allows for a  smooth finish for a long day ware.

I took it for a test run when i was the maid on honor. Initially the make up artiest did my make up and within about a frame of 2 hrs my foundation started to melt off from the perpetration and the heat ( it was a lovely day the sun was out and blazing .. Australia can be very dry is you just roast in the sun).
I took the Sana Pore BB pack as backup and lucky i did.

I cleared my face of oil with makeup blotting paper  and applied a thin layer of the BB balm which i was thinking wet foundation .. not sure if it will give me a compact powder finish. To my surprise it worked a treat. The wet application prevented caking and the creasing to any dehydrated skin from being in the sun. It gave a flawless finish when it was spread over the skin which the impressive thing was it was like using the HD makeup i had.
This also doubled for me as a concealer and a stabilizer for my eye make up to prevent it from running and causing big panda eye.

The photos came up awesome giving total flawless skin the small acne issue and redness i had from lack of sleep the night before was fully unnoticeable.

    Verdict:
This BB cream is the best i have tried and compared to the wet foundation i would prefer this more. However i do find that if you use the foundation and keep the compact with you for touch up is also excellent.

Definitely works and worth buying to achieve the HD flawless skin.. I am totally in love with this ...

    Sana ~~ SPF 50+ PA+++ BB Cream ( Review)

This Skin-perfecting BB cream made with collagen- and silicone gel powder-infused, 3D fit formula that effectively conceals enlarged pores and evens out complexion.

If you have never used BB creamy,  BB mean Blemish Balm which was originally created by the cosmetic surgeons and dermatologist in USA where patients had just had major surgery but wasn't able to apply made up. As an alternative they were give BB Cream to cover up imperfection until they recover to be able to use normal foundations.

The San BB cream was light and creamy which glided over the skin whilst covering the imperfections. Its a light coverage so if you have big acne or blotching you need to use additional concealer.
The product was light so it was easy to use over enlarged pores and hide imperfections.

It is also SPF 50 , generally the BB creams and products are only SPF 25-30 its rare to see 50. Its definitely impressive and gives you are comformt especially in Australia with our damaged Ozone this products gives additional protection to prevent aging.
This is still not a replacement to put on suncream , as with any suncream protection after a few hours the SPF protection is no longer there.

    Verdict:

I personally really like the texture of the BB cream and compared to the Skin 79 BB and the Etude house one I actually prefer this more.
It glides on better to the skin and the color was more natural and warm , i generally find that the Korean BB cream are great but sometimes the color doesen't also turn out quite natural unless you are already really pale.

    Cost : 10-15 USD

    Tips:
If you feel that you are using the BB cream and you need more coverage you can either mix it up with your concealer and apply or you can add it to CoverGirl and Olay foundation.
